Magazine Publications

I had 2 Pulications this month and I just wanted to share the good news with all my scrappy friends.

I'm so happy when I see all my talented friends in a publication. I usually sit in the bookstore and browse through the magazines and start telling my husband who is usually sitting right beside me: "that's my friend, and that's my friend...." until he gets annoyed and goes to get a coffee lol.

So I was published in this issue of the Australian Scrapbooking Memories Magazine. 
There are some amazing layouts, cards and projects!!

I have to say that both magazines are phenomenal!! There are so many of my talented friends published in both these magazines. There's truly too many friends to name and everyone's projects were fantastic.  I want to wish congrats to everyone that was published in them

I don't always get picked for publishing and I do send lots of layouts to many different magazines.
One advice I could give is to not get discourage if your work doesn't get picked up by a magazine. It doesn't mean that they don't like it. It only means that your project doesn't fit their style or theme.
I encourage everyone to continue to send for publications because you just never know what the magazine wants.

Relax

I designed this layout for  the March challenge at OUAS. The journaling theme is about weekends. At first I wasn't sure what picture to use but then I found this cute picture of my daughter vegging on my bed on a Sunday morning and I though how perfect for this challenge. She loves coming in the morning and relaxing on our bed. Of course she talks non-stop and wakes us up but its so adorable.

I used lots of yummy Websters Pages papers and embellishments and I journaled on a fussy cut pieces from one of the papers.

That cute resin frame is from the Trinket Track and the cameo from WP.

You can see lots of Mixed media textures here. I used chipboard squares and masked them with a Prima mask. Then I sprayed them with two different Shimmerz sprays

Charming- Scrap for Help Challenge

I finally got my new Prima goodies and I had to work with them right away. I used the engraver collection which is so masculine and vintage.

I loved making this layout of my son for the March Challenge at Scrap for Help along with a sketch from Scrap Africa.

I used burlap underneath the photo as an extra layer.

I had an old, large chipboard key that I had never used. I covered it in gesso and stamped it. Then sprayed it in black and gold. Finally I added ripped pieces of washi tape.

I used a black Shimmerz spray and a gold Color shine to add a color around the layout.

I also used washi tape to add ripped pieces under the photo.

I'm using Sketch Challenge # 15 from Scrap Africa for this Challenge.

Ces't Magnifique March Sketch Challenge

Ces't Magnifique has a fantastic sketch challenge every month.

The sketch is designed by the very talented Michelle Singh and this month she has designed for us a beautiful sketch.

Although the sketch reveal is today, I've already shown you my layout for this sketch.

Here it is again it is one of my favourite layouts as its so calm and peaceful like the ocean.
