Scandinavian Winter- Blue Fern Studios

Its only fitting that my last post for Blue Fern Studios is on the last day of the month as I started in January 1st three years ago.

For this project, I created this 5x7 canvas depicting a scandinavian winter.

I used the Tree Trimmings paper from Vintage Christmas 2 collection for the background.
I embossed 2 of the Winter Village chipboard pieces and a snowflake with Icicle embossing powder and then added some gold glitter on it.
Once I glued everything I added some snow paste to enhance the winter feel.

Winter- Blue Fern Studios Layout

Here is the second project this month for my Blue Fern Studios final post.

I created this wintery layout using a picture of myself from a few winters ago.

I used the  back of the Holiday Cards paper from the Vintage Christmas 2 for the background.

I used the large chipboard flake to frame my photo. I cut the inside of the flake so I would have a space in the middle to frame my photo. Then I embossed it with Sea Mist embossing powder.

I used some shabby flakes and winter flakes to embellish around the frame. I embossed them along with the Winter title with Snow embossing powder.
I also added some snow paste to enhance the wintery feel.

Blue Fern Studios chipboard: Shabby flake, Winter flake, Winter dangle, Seasons

I'm very grateful to have had this opportunity!!!

I've created three projects which I will reveal within the next few days.

Since its Christmas day today I thought it was perfect to show the
3 Christmas cards I created for the post:

The first one uses both the Vintage Christmas collections and the Dangle flake as an embellishment. The chipboard was embossed with Golden Bricks embossing powder.

The Second Card also uses both Vintage Christmas collections

To embellish I added some Blue Fern blooms and a Holiday Deer that was also embossed in golden Bricks embossing powder

For the last card, I used the Deer ornament which was embossed in 14 karat embossing powder.

I used some flowers and cheesecloth to embellish the card as well!!

Sugar and Spice- 7 Dots Studio Cotton Candy Dreams collection

Hi everyone,
Its my turn again on the 7 Dots Studio Blog and I've created this monochromatic layout using the Cotton Candy Dreams collection.

I love this collection as its so bright and colourful.  I used the stencils and stamps from this collection to create the background. Then I used the tags, stickers and die-cut elements to to mat the photo and embellish the layout.

This is a picture of my daughter posing on a rock. She’s always full of spunk and spice. That’s why I called the layout Sugar and Spice, Its exactly just like her.

Remember This Moment- Art Journal Page for 7 Dots Studio with Video Tutorial

Hi Everyone!!
I created a new art journaling page using the Writer’s Block collection from 7 Dots Studio. I really wanted to create a mixed media page and I love the Die-cut elements and stickers as they create a wonderful textured background for my projects. Using leftover pieces from other 7 Dots Studio projects was a perfect way to add texture to this mixed media background as well!!

Here is a step by step video tutorial:

I loved using the UmWow Studio poppy chipboard from the Homegrown collection as my focal point and then journaled my feelings around it. The flower stamp from the Cotton Candy Dreams clear stamp set was perfect to add texture at the end and match the natural feel of the composition.
