White as Snow- Riddersholm Design

Hi Everyone,
Its Keren here with a new layout for Riddersholm Design using the Christmas Cosy collection

I used the Cosy Cutout paper for the background. One of the sides has this beautiful dark wintery layout. It looks like a snowy wintery night. It already has white snow splatters in the background so it was perfect for this layout.

Our dogs fur is white as snow and so I thought it was perfect for this wintery layout. I stencilled some snowflakes in the background using modelling paste and then framed the photo with the Blue Fern studios Blooming Curls frame which was primed with gesso and then sprinkled with fine white glitter.

Finally I added some neutral coloured Prima flowers and a title to finish the layout.

Products
Papers: Riddersholm Desing Christmas Cosy
Blue Fern Studios Blooming curls chipboard
Prima Finnabair fine glitter
Prima flowers
Stencil 1-snowflakes
Prima Finnabair modelling paste

Chill- Layout for Faber-Castell- Design-Memory- Craft

Hi Everyone,
This is a layout I created for the Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft® blog using Gelatos® mixed and matched with many other Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft® mixed media products.
I have a step by step video tutorial on how I created this layout.

I love the way the Glass bead glitter gel made the snowflakes sparkle. The Gelatos® created the shadow behind the snowflakes and the Whipped Spackle gave me the snow like texture in the background.

You can see below how the frame and snowflake look very glittery due to the Glass bead glitter gel

You can see how the Whipped Spackle below looks like fluffy snow on this chipboard title.

Products:
Blue Fern Studios chipboard
Prima 12x12 water-colour paper

All we need is love- Art Journaling page for Scrapberry's

Hi Everyone,
Its Keren here with another art journaling double page I created for the Scrapberry's blog.
This is my last post for this year and also the last post for Scrapberry's as a Design Team member.
I want to thank Scrapberry's for the opportunity to design with their amazing products.

I love designing with blues and purples. They are my favourite colours to design with because they make me feel good. I used the new water-soluble oil pastels from Prima to create this bright background. Then I added white and black to enhance the texture of the page.

I fussy cut one of the papers from the Holiday Romance collection to use as the message in my journal page.

I also used the Polymer resins from the "For Wedding" collection so I could have some 3D elements on the page. I used the Love word and some rings to fit in with the rest of the mixed media circles.

Recipe Tin Boxes- with Scrapberry's

Hi Everyone,
Today I have a cute altered project for the Scrapberry's blog.
I altered two tin cans into two small recipe boxes.

I used the "I love cooking" collection to cover the tins and then I cut out many different elements and tags from the pages to adhere to the front.

I also cut some small recipe cards to put inside the tins and decorated with flowers and resins.

I primed the tin in white gesso and then painted it in brown acrylic paint. Finally I used soft matte gel to glue the papers to the tin and then distressed the edges with Prima distress tool.

Create Art- Art Journaling Page- Flying Unicorn December Mixed Art Kit

Hi everyone,
This is a double art journaling page I created with the December Mixed Art kit for the Flying Unicorn.
Its a page filled with mixed media products and techniques.
Although it wasn't my intention to create such a busy page, my creativity took its own path and I continued adding products until I was satisfied with the look of my project.
I have a step by step video tutorial below explaining it all.

Here is the step by step video tutorial:

As you can see below, the pages have a lot of texture and colour. At first I wasn't totally happy with the results, however as I continued to work on the background, I found a way to change it to the way I wanted. That's one of the things I love about mixed media, you can continue to add mediums until you are happy with the results.

This below is the centre of my starburst pattern. It feels like it has so much creative and inspirational power when I look at it.
