Changes from Google

In the past week many bloggers have noticed a decline in their followers. Below is the reason why this is happening.
If you follow my blog through another search engine you will no longer see it in your feeds. If you want to continue to follow my blog then you must have a google account.
Its unfortunate this is happening as I personally don't like these types of changes but there's not much we can do about it.
Please read below about the change and I encourage bloggers to post it as well.

FROM GOOGLE:
Changes to Blogger's Google Friend Connect
Blogger has made some big changes to
how we follow blogs
so read on to see
if these new rules will affect you!

From Google: We announced the retirement of Google Friend Connect for all non-Blogger sites. We made an exception for Blogger to give readers an easy way to follow blogs using a variety of accounts. Yet over time, we’ve seen that most people sign into Friend Connect with a Google Account. So, in an effort to streamline, in the next few weeks we’ll be making some changes that will eventually require readers to have a Google Account to sign into Friend Connect and follow blogs.
As part of the plan starting the week of Jan.11th, 2016 we’ll remove the ability for people with Twitter, Yahoo, Orkut or other OpenId providers to sign in to Google Friend Connect and follow blogs. At the same time, we’ll remove non-Google Account profiles so you may see a decrease in your blog follower count.
We encourage you to tell affected readers (perhaps via a blog post), that if they use a non-Google account to follow your blog, they need to sign up for a Google Account, and re-follow your blog. With a Google Account, they’ll get blogs added to their Reading List, making it easier for them to see the latest posts and activity of the blogs they follow.
We know how important followers are to all bloggers, but we believe this change will improve the experience for both you and your readers.

Best Friends- Riddersholm Design

Here is my second creation for Riddersholm Design this month.

It is also my last creation as a Guest Designer. I want to thank Connie for the amazing opportunity to design with her fabulous designs.

I have another horse themed picture for my second layout this month. This time I used the "Compass" paper from the Newport collection. The background also looks like a woodgrain from a barn and so I thought it was perfect for another horse themed photo.

I used stencils and sprays in the background to create texture. Then I added lots of Prima flowers to embellish the layout along a Blue Fern Studios chipboard piece to frame the photo.

Love- Blue Fern Studios 6x12 Canvas

Here is my second project this month for Blue Fern Studios.
I used the other half of the Ombré Dreams- Ginger's dream paper that I used on the other canvas I created this month.

For this canvas I used the Shabby brick bits and the daisies collage chipboard pieces. They were painted with lime green and teal acrylic paints.

I cut out a couple of pieces from the Ombré Dreams- Dream cards paper as a background for the Daisies collage.
Then I painted the Love chipboard title in black and added it over the centre piece.

I used the Textured Circles stamp to create some music note's pattern in the background.
I also used the Imagine Ink winter green spray toad some colour drips under the main image.

Dream- Blue Fern Studios 6x12 Canvas

Hi Everyone,
Its Keren here and I'm really happy to be back once again on the Blue Fern Studios Design Team for another year.
I'm so grateful for this opportunity and I'm looking forward to creating alongside many talented designers.

I've created two 6x12 canvases this month.
Both used the Ombré Dreams- Ginger's dream for the background. I cut the paper in half and used each half for one of the canvases.

Here is my first project:

The flowers petals are made out of canvas and were first sprayed with Imagine Ink Winter green, then shaded with other greens and yellows.
The centre was created by layering one radiant burst chipboard, one bohemian flower chipboard and one paper flower.

The stem was created using the Arching leaves chipboard which were painted in lime green acrylic paint and then stamped with the textured circles stamp. I also used the brick pattern from the Essencial textures stamp aroung the edges.
Finally I used the Dream chipboard for the title.

Capture the Moment- Riddersholm Design

This is my first project for the new year for Riddersholm Design using the Barnmarket collection.

I used "The Barn" paper from the collection because it fit perfectly with my horse theme.

The background woodgrain looks exactly like the wood from a stable and so I used this picture of my daughter feeding a horse. I framed the photo with a chipboard heart frame. I wanted to "Capture the moment" as she loves horses so much. I had to add hearts all around for that reason.

Altered Paint Brush Clip- Artists Live Ustream Channel

It was really fun creating this Altered Brush Clip last week at the Artists Live Ustream Channel.

We have free online workshops, live every Monday at 2pm EST, 6pm GMT. So you can join us live every week or you can watch the video recording on our channel or on youtube.

Below is the video recording in case you missed it:

It was fun experimenting and adding lots of texture and colour to alter the brush. I usually make monochromatic projects so this was unusual for me and I loved adding so many colours and textures.

You can see that the brush is glued onto a large wooden clothes pin. It clips onto anything and its pretty strong.
