Always So Happy - 7 Dots Studio Video Tutorial

I'm on the 7 Dots Studio blog today with this earthy and natural looking layout using the Nature Walk collection.

My daughter finds happiness in everything she does. Here she is swinging on a tire swing ready to take flight like a butterfly. This is why I added a fussy cut butterfly wing to her back.

 I compiled a step by step video below to show you how I created this mixed media layout:

 I used the 7 Dots Nature Walk collection to create a natural scenery around this picture. After creating a textured background I framed the picture with a Blue Fern Studios Chipboard frame and then added lots of matching Prima flowers and Flying Unicorn Metal embellishments.

I really wanted to create a lot of natural texture. That's why I also added the burlap.

Sweet Happy Life- Flying Unicorn Ustream Video with 7 Dots Studio

Its my turn this month on the 7 Dots Blog and I have a layout for you today designed last week on a live Ustream show for Flying Unicorn.

Having a sweet happy life is mostly what I want my kids to have. Watching my son swinging on a tire swing, which was hung on a tall tree, was truly a pleasure. Seeing my kids enjoying themselves in any way possible makes my heart sing.

I designed this layout using the 7 Dots Cold country collection. I love this collection mainly because I love the colours. Teals and purples are my favourite colors and they go so well together.

I created a downward motion on this page to mimic the tire swing's rope hanging down from the tree. I stamped vertical stitched lines going down the page to give this effect.

Love Our Baby Girl- Flying Unicorn August KOTM + Video

Here is my third creation for this month's Flying Unicorn your passion your art KOTM featuring papers form Pion Design: Our Precious Daughter. So it was befitting that I use a picture of my precious daughter for this layout.

I created a how to video below, showing you how I designed this layout with step by step instructions.

Create- Mixed Media 6x6 Canvas with Prima Finnabair Collection + Video

Here is another project created for the Prima blog.

I created a mixed media 6x6 canvas and combined Finnabair's vintage trinkets products with her new mediums.

Prima's Finnabair Mixed media products are fantastic and I'm just so grateful to be able to create with them.

 I wanted to create a very artsy canvas to showcase my creative side and the happiness it brings me every single day. Creating art for me is like getting in touch with my soul on a deep level and I'm so grateful for it. I even incorporated two old paint brushes as I wanted to include a touch of "me" in my project. I have a step by step video below on how I created this canvas. Hope you enjoy it and it inspires you to create more art.

Small Indulgence- Prima Coffee Time Collection LO and Video
