I'm so excited to start the new year here on the Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft blog.
Today I created an inspirational canvas titled "Life is Good". It uses many different Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft products and it especially features Gelatos®.
Below is a video tutorial on how I created the main flower on this canvas. It was created using canvas fabric and coloured in with Gelatos®. Enjoy the video!!
The Canvas' background was first primed with Gesso. Then I painted it using Gelatos®. I blended 3 different colours to create the dark contrast behind the flower. I used Gold Champagne, Iced Coffee and Iced Chai from the Metallic Gelatos® set.
I also used watered down gesso to create white splatters on the background.
I used the Whipped Spackle to create the white script stencilled pattern and the title on the background. I also used it to create a border around the canvas. The Glass Bead Glitter gel was used with the circular stencil from the 101 set and mixed with the watermelon Gelato to add more texture to the background.
I used Stamper's Big Brush Pen in white, black and orange glaze to draw the flower stem, leafs and some doodling. The black one was also used to stamp patterned texture onto the background.
