Wishes- 2 Crafty Reveal Part 1

For my giveaway press here
I'm giving away some 2 Crafty chipboard and Websters Pages goodies.

Here is my 2 Crafty Reveal in more detail. This is the first layout I created this month. I used the Sunrise Sunset collection from Prima designed by Finn.

The theme for this month for me is butterflies as I took these pictures of my daughter at the Butterfly conservatory in Niagara Falls last month. She really wished that some butterflies would land on her and of course a few of them did. Here is a beautiful black and white butterfly on her head.
I wanted to create a magical garden around her picture because she looks as if she belongs  among the fairies with that butterfly on her head.

I used the Prima BAP (below) this month as an inspiration for this layout. As a base for my layout I added 2 Crafty flower discs under the picture. I cut some of them in half, primed them with gesso and dabbed them with textured paste. Then I painted them with Shimmerz paints.

For the title I used a word from the Birthday Sentiments pack. I simply covered the chipboard in pastel chalk ink from Prima.

Finally I used some summer leaf stems as fillers for the magical garden I created around the photo. I recently saw a tutorial by my friend Tracey Sabella. She embossed chipboard which I didn't know you could do. So I took it upon myself to learn how to do it and voila here is the result. I embossed the leaf stems in an embossing folder and then I painted them in green using acrylic paint. I love the texture it created on each leaf.

Here is the Prima March BAP I used as inspiration

This layout is also inspiring for the Up Up and Away challenge on the Frosted Design blog. Its a picture of a butterfly that flies up up and away and sometimes lands on my DD's head.

I also used as inspiration a challenge at Berry71Bleu. The challenge is called "You Color MyWorld" & the challenge is to use paint in your project.
I used acrylic paint on the leafs and Shimmerz paints on the chipboard discs and in the background.

Here is the inspiration for that one

Today is the first day of spring!!

Love

This past Sunday I attended a Shower for this bride to be above. This cute and loving couple is a very good family friend and they are getting married in a couple of months.
I thought it befitting to make them a framed layout for their new home. I figured they could always get another pot or pan but this type of gift lasts a lifetime!!

I borrowed one of their beautiful pictures and framed it in a 2 Crafty 6x4 Frame. I painted the frame and then stamped it in a crackle stamp.

I used this beautiful Forget-me-not collection from Kaisercraft which I've had sitting in my stash for a couple of months. I thought it matched the picture perfectly as this photo was taken in some tropical island down in the Caribbean.

As you can see, I used very few materials as I tried to keep the layout as simple as possible, so that the picture stands out!!
I used Saturday March sketch #2 from the Kaisercraft blog as inspiration.

Materials:
Papers: Kaisercraft Forget-me-not
Chipboard frame: 2 Crafty
Flower: Prima
Martha Stewart Punch

Thanks so much for visiting my blog!!
I will toast to this happy couple to have much health and happiness in their lives and love in their hearts!
To Love!! Cheers!

Live Free

This is a picture of my kids while we were sitting on a boat in Downtown Disney. I took a picture of them with the hot air balloon in the background and I immediately envisioned using the papers from the Park Drive collection from WP. I love the hot air balloons in that collection.

I created this layout yesterday and it took me such a long time to get it the way I wanted. I spent 3 hours working with it and could not get it to work so I had to walk away and watch TV and relax. Surprisingly I didn't get too frustrated because I knew that if I left it it would work itself out later.I finally changed the background and style by ripping strips from the Websters Pages' papers. I masked the card stock with a wood grain mask from Prima. Then I sprayed ink and let it drip.

I used this sketch from Keeping the Best as Inspiration for this layout

There's also a challenge at Frosted Designs called Up Up and Away that is perfect for this challenge using the hot air balloons.
