Dress-form OTP- Flying Unicorn September Kit

The off the page project in the September Flying Unicorn Kit is fabulous. Its a paper mache dress-form and I had a blast creating a mixed media dress for it.

I started draping pieces of cheese cloth on the dress-form and gluing them with matte gel medium. I kept on adding layers until I was satisfied with the thickness and composition of the dress.

Once the gel dried, I painted the dress using two different shades of turquoise golden paint. I also added some gold colour in some areas

Once the paint dried, I used the gel medium to create a glittery texture on the bottom part of the dress.

Finally I stamped a pattern on the top part of the dress and added some Flying Unicorn metal embellishments to decorate the dress. I even added a little butterfly necklace.

Products:
Dress-form- Unknown (Flying Unicorn kit)
cheese cloth
Metal embellishments: Flying Unicorn
Paint: Golden fluid acrylic paint: teal and phtalo blue
Prima Color Bloom spray: Gold foil
glitter: Sampendous
Stamp: Prima
Ranger black archival ink
jute trim: Prima

I just loved creating  and building this mixed media dress.
I hope it inspires you!
Have a wonderful day!

Keren your dressform is gorgeous !!! Love the way you used the cheesecloth to drape around it and left it very "airy" at the lower part... And fab colors ! And such lovely metal decorative elements !!!
