I've seen this question asked many times. What should you do with all your unused scrapbooking stuff.
Over the years I've had many giveaways to give back to all my followers but it also helped me purge some of the amount of scrapbooking supplies I've bought over the past 10 years.
I've also given some to my scrappy friends around here and sent some abroad for some of my new friends too.
I also gave some of the more childish stuff to my daughter's kindergarten teacher a couple of years back so she can use around the classroom.
However I still found a lot of old unused stuff from my beginner days that I just didn't know what to do with.
My husband came up with the idea to give it away to the old age home where my grandmother was staying.
I collected old papers, alphas, embellies, gems, etc and put them in two huge bags and donated it to them.
I was so happy to hear that they put it into good use. They made signs for each person's room with their name on it and hung it by the door. They decorated the inside of the shadow box that is in front of each room which holds the person's family photos.
and they even used it to create their own arts and crafts decorations.
When I went to visit my grandmother right before she passed away, I was able to take some photos to show you how they had used my stash.
If you don't know what to do with your unused, unwanted stash this is a great way to get rid of it.
One person's junk is another's treasure!!!
Here are some photos of what they created:
The first one is the sign on my grandmothers door with her name on it.
This is another door with the person's name right on it.
These are the shadow boxes, they used the papers as background
How cool are these swans made out of different scrapbooking papers.
Aren't these projects so cool???
Well that's all for today.
Hope you're having a wonderful day!!

That is a wonderful idea, I have so many papers that have become very old fashioned but still colorful and useable, so thanks for your great idea!
What a beautiful gesture. It's very inspiring. I'm sure their creations were like rays of sunshine to all their residents. P.S. Those swans are gorgeous.

What a lovely gesture - and what a wonderful time they clearly had with your gift of "unwanted" stash. Those paper sculptures are amazing!
