Here is another Art journaling page I created in my recycled paper journal I bought on my trip to Ecuador.
I just love the natural texture that the recycled paper gives the background.
I used book paper to create the tree, birds and ground. I ripped pieces of each paper and built it piece by piece.
I used fluid acrylics to cover and shade the background, adding some darker shades on the edges and lighter ones in the center. Then I used a brown stampers big brush pen to create shade behind the tree and birds.
Finally I did some hidden journaling with a brown pen. It blends into the background so you can't see it. I also used a black Posca marker to outline the shapes and add some visible journaling.
For my second project this month for Blue Fern Studios I created this Sand-Castle mini-album.
The mini album already comes like this and its made out of MDF material. However you could easily make and cut these shapes out of cardboard or other material to create your own mini album.
For the background and embellishments I used the following Seaside Cottage papers: Gala, Splendor, Glory and Calling Cards.
For the cover I used some Blue Fern Studios flowers and some seashells. I also used a few of the following chipboard pieces: Seaside Seashells, Seaside Treasures and By the sea. For the title, I used the Summer Vacation chipboard title and cut out the Summer word out of it. All the chipboard pieces in the album were either embossed with Oatmeal or Breeze embossing powders and then lightly edged with brown distress ink.
For the next pages I used the Destination Label and the Sweetheart frame chipboard pieces which were both embossed with the Oatmeal Embossing powder.
For the following two pages I used the Seaside Lanterns, Memory Frame and Circle Links. All of these chipboard pieces were embossed with the Breeze embossing powder.
For this next page I used the Lane street sign to frame my photo and the and one of the Jubilation corners for the following page. I also use a chipboard shell above the photo which can be seen from the front cover. All of these were embossed with the Breeze embossing powder.
For the last page, which is the back of the album I used the Chipper chipboard frame to frame the photo. The frame was embossed in Breeze embossing powder.
As a final touch I added some snow texture around all the page edges.
Its that time again for the 7 Dots Studio monthly challenge and this month's theme is:
"Steampunk"
I recently created these two winged boxed canvases on my Artists Live Ustream show while having this challenge in mind.
Below you will find the project and the video recording in case you missed the show.
Like us on Facebook and you won't miss another show.
However if you can't make it, we always record our shows!!
Here is the recording of a video on how I created these Winged Boxes live during the Artsits Live Ustream Show on Monday September 5th"
I love all styles of mixed media but combining the techniques with a Steampunk theme is one of my favourites. I used the elements from the 7 Dots Studio Fortune Teller and combined them with metallic and resin embellishments to create these mini 4x4 canvases. I used rust paste to give it the rusted look.
Below you can see close-ups of the boxes and all the texture and color I gave them.

This month I've created a layout and a mini album using the Seaside Cottage collection.
Since I love the beach so much, Seaside cottage is one of my favourite collections and I loved using it again.
Here is my layout:
For the background paper I used the Seaside Cottage Glory paper.
I used a picture of some seagulls flying in the air. It looks like they are Frolicking in the sun and dancing in the sunset. Thats why I used that chipboard title. The title was sprayed in gold ink.
The photo was framed with the Marseille frame which was painted in white gesso, then stamped with the Brocade texture. I used the same technique for the flutter medley and added it to the side of the frame. Then I embellished with matching Blue Fern Studios' flowers and added bits of the Persian ornament chipboard in between the flowers.
I'm up on the 7 Dots Studio blog and I created a set of 6 ATCs using both the Homegrown and Fortune Teller Collections.
I used papers, stencils, stamps, stickers, chipboard pieces and die-cuts to create texture and layers. I also used modelling paste, sprays, glitter and embossing powders to create color and design. I love creating these cards and trading them with friends from around the world
Here is a step by step video on how I created these ATC's:
Here are the close-up pictures of each card. You can see the texture, design and color of each card.

In this blog hop we are supposed to make either a photo collage or video about the country we live in or the country we identify with.
As for myself I've lived in 3 different countries so
I made 3 different collages. Most people live their whole life in the same country but since I have moved a couple of times
I can identify with 3 different countries and here they are:
Canada, Israel and Venezuela
Canada is my home and my mind and heart are in it.
Its an amazing peaceful and accepting country. Its a democratic country and people have the right to live free and well. I love living here even if winters are very cold.
Israel is my birthplace and home of my heart and soul.
Israel is such a beautiful country and I love it because its where I was born and where I belong in my heart.
One of the countries with the most turmoil and with the most spiritual and religious love.
I believe that the reason that I live so peacefully in Canada is because those in Israel fight for my freedom. I'm thus so grateful to call this country my heart's home.
Finally, last but not least Venezuela. The country I grew up in, since I was 1 until 15 years of age.
One of the most beautiful countries in the world which has now been destroyed by a corrupt government. It is so sad that in such a beautiful there's so much poverty and misery.
I remember the food, the dance, the warm weather and the warm people.
I'm grateful I was able to grow up here and I'm grateful my parents moved us to Canada from such an unsafe place before it was too late.
Here is a little video compilation of all these photos on my youtube channel.

I've created this dreamcatcher for my daughter's bedroom.
Its mainly monochromatic as it uses only white and beige tones.
I used Prima's Relics & Artifacts Butterfly and Chandalier pendants as embellishments as I'm entering this project for the International Talent contest on The Relics & Artifacts Tribe Facebook group.
The Relics & Artifacts butterfly was embellished using Diamond dust. I glued the dust inside the wings using Gel medium. I added 2-3 layers of it and then sprinkled the wings with Finnabair white fine glitter. Finally I added a few Prima "Say it in crystals" gemstones in the middle of the body and behind on the chord. I also used a little of Empress Gold Color bloom spray to add a little color on the butterfly's wings.
I glued a hook on the back of the butterfly and hooked it onto the dreamcatcher. I secured it using the chord and some more glue so it stays in place.
I used Butcher Chord to create the Dreamcatcher and also used it to tie the hanging embellishments to the ring.
The ring, ribbon, and tassels I found at Michaels. I added some feathers and cheese cloth from my stash.
The chandelier pendants were covered first with glass bead gel, then with white glitter and finally with one Prima Say it in crystals gemstone.
The chandelier pendants, feathers and tassels were tied to the Butcher chord.
Last Month I create these Pop Art Canvas Tiles live on my Artists Live Ustream show.
Below is the recording in case you missed the show.
I used 4x4 flat canvases to create these tiles. The orange ones were created before the show and the blue faced ones I designed during the show.
Almost all the products used in the show are from DecoArt.
Once I created the tiles I thought they would look amazing as a set of 4 and here they are below:
Here is the recording in case you missed the show.
