Natural Beauty- C'est Magnifique June Kit
For this layout, I used all the purple toned papers and embellishments from the Cest Magnifique June Kit. I combined them with the gray and white embellishments.
I used a brick stencil to create a background for this layout. It looks as if the paper is peeling off the wall. I really like that effect and how the photo frame is hanging off the peeled paper.
The Blue Fern fancy fob watch chipboard is one of my favorites pieces in the kit!! Instead of using the chain to hang the watch, I used it to hang the framed photo. I love the illusion it creates.
I used all the purple embellishments in this kit and I colored some other ones with purple chalkboard ink from Tattered Angels.
Here are some other close-ups of the June Kit

I love you- OTP for C'est Magnfique June Kit
One of the items in the C'est Magnifique's June kit was this wooden Icon Box from Prima. I really wanted to create a project with it, so I emptied it out and used it as a printer's tray.
First I primed it with Gesso. Then painted it in shimmery green acrylic paint which matched the Maja papers perfectly. I cut out a picture of each of my kids and popped it in one of the squares. I also used the green toned Maja papers to fill the other squares in the grid.
Then, I decorated it with flowers, resist canvas embellishments and wooden mushrooms. Finally,I used the Shabby Chic Mirror in the center to add a title.

You Inspire- C'est Magnifique June Kit Reveal
Welcome to the C'est Magnifique June kit reveal.
"Dream in Pastel"
This is the last kit I get to design with for C'est Magnifique. I enjoyed my last 6 wonderful months designing for CM and I'm very grateful to Leslie to have given me this opportunity.
In the next few days I will be revealing all my layouts for this kit and at the beginning of June I'll be revealing my layout for the sketch challenge.
I really wanted to create a layout using the golden colors from the C'est Magnifique June Kit. I made this monochromatic layout using the yellow papers from this Maja designs line, along with the golden Petaloo flowers and butterflies.
Here is a picture of my DD posing for me!! She loves doing these poses for the camera. She was dressed up in a beautiful black and white dress so I printed the picture in B&W and used the yellow tones in this kit!!
I used one of Donna Downeys Poppies mask to create the vines coming down from the picture. I created them using some light molding paste. Once dried, I painted them in golden shimmery acrylic paint which matched the Maja Papers perfectly.
I love this Blue Fern fancy fob watch. Its one of my favorite pieces from their chipboard embellishments. I wanted to create a hanging illusion for this piece as if it was coming out of the picture and hanging down the page. I covered the chipboard in Gesso and golden shimmery paint, too, to match the layout.

A few of my favorite things- You are such a joy!!
I haven't done a sketch challenge at MME for such a long time. I saw it on their blog today and just fell in love with the sketch.
I went and dug up some MME papers from my stash and got to work on this layout.
I started by mimicking the square pattern of the sketch using a CW mask. However after adding papers and embellishments, I sadly covered almost the whole squared pattern. There is some of it left around the edges which I sprayed with Shimmerz: Tuscan Sun and Cotton Candy. But you can't really see the pattern in the center.
I just ordered some new Shimmerz sprays including Tuscan Sun. I have to say that I'm in love with this shade of yellow. I'm not a huge fan of yellow, but this shade is just gorgeous. The name makes me want to actually go to Italy.
I use Shimmerz a lot on my projects and I really recommend them because they are light and shimmery. They are made for those people who are sometimes afraid to spray because theya re scared they will ruin a page. They are so light, almost translucent and do not overpower in color.
I want to remind you guys again that if you want to buy some Shimmerz make sure you mention me when you check out. You will receive a free "Sample sized" Texturez or Dazzlerz product and you can even choose the color.
All you have to do is mention my name at the "Instructions to Merchant" during checkout. Make sure you specify which of product you want to receive for free.
Trust me you will not regret trying these. They are amazing!!
I have to tell you a little bit about this picture. When I took it, my heart almost melted with joy. It was such a tender moment which happens seldom, as my kids constantly bicker with each other. However on this particular day, my DD happened to get hurt and guess who came to the rescue. My amazing son sat down and hugged her. I was so lucky to have had my iphone handy and just snapped this photo.
I added some hidden journaling behind the photo.
I really hope my kids will always be there for each other the way my sisters and I are there for each other. I know they fight a lot now, but I know that will change.
I did a lot of fussy cutting from the MME papers and I used some matching Prima flowers and bling.

Love- a layout just for fun
I made this layout just for fun using this sketch from Scrap Friends. Its quite a unique sketch and I struggled to come up with an idea for it. Finally I thought to fold the edges of the Fairy Rhymes paper in to create the effect.
I used two chipboard pieces from 2 Crafty. The first one is the Love title. I simply primed it with gesso and then covered it in different colored Fluid Chalk inks.
The second piece of 2 Crafty Chipboard I used was the Frame Heart with Flowers. After priming it with gesso I covered it in Sandy Stone Shimmerz Texturez. Then I painted them sporadically with Magenta Shimmerz paint.
and as a bonus I've been given permission to give you a special offer when you order from the Shimmerz Store.
When you place an order with Shimmerz, they will give you a "Sample Sized" jars of Dazzlerz or Texturez for free with your purchase.
All you have to do is mention my name in the
INSTRUCTIONS TO MERCHANT area when you check out.
you can also request the color of Dazzlerz and / or Texturez that you would like to receive.
How's that for an offer!! I highly recommend for you to try their products!!
I'm also entering this layout for the challenge at Get Creative May Challenge:
"April showers bring May flowers"
So your challenge is to make a layout with lots and lots of flowers......
and of course this challenge was made for me, as I love, love, love to add flowers on my layouts.
Supplies
Papers: Prima Lifetime, Fairy Rhymes
Flowers and leaves: Prima
Chipboard: 2 Crafty, Prima Lyric
Gesso, Cheese cloth
Shimmerz Texturez: Sandy Stone
Shimmerz Paints: Magenta
Prima Fluid Chalk ink: shabby tote, dark bark

Wish- 13 Arts and 2 Crafty DT reveal Part 2
"Wish"
As you can see, its a picture of my daughter holding Tinkerbell in her hand. I tried to create a magical garden around her using flowers, vines and fairies.
Since this 13 Arts paper resembles bark, I rolled the paper all along the picture as if the wood was peeling off. Then I decorated with lots of flowers from 13 Arts and Petaloo
For the 2 Crafty Twinkling Fairies, I primed them with gesso and then using 13 Arts Gel medium I glued some micro-beads on them.
In the above picture you can see the other fairy and behind it, a little 13 Arts resin cherub. You can also see one of the 2 Crafty shrubs above the cherub. These shrubs were also covered in gel medium and micro-beads.
Finally for the Wish title I simply covered it in 13 Arts Gesso and then colored it with lots of different shades of Chalk ink. The 13 Arts gesso gives the chipboard a very smooth finish which is perfect when applying other mediums.
For this last layout, I also used the May sketch from Paper Stories as an inspiration. Here it is below.
Materials used
Papers: 13 Arts All is Love
Chipboard: 2 Crafty
13 Arts gesso
13 Arts gel medium
Flowers: 13 Arts, Petaloo
Cherub: 13 Arts
cheese cloth
Martha Stewart Micro-beads
Hope you had a nice weekend!!
