Find your way in this world

I made this layout for my Scrap for Help reveal using these amazingly beautiful papers from 7 Dots Studios: "Wonderland" which are part of the Kit from Ces't Magnifique. This month recycled item to use at SFH is "Old Envelopes". I cut a small old manila envelope that I found in a bag of letters and cards that my grandmother collected over the years. As you may know, my grandmother passed away this past December and we were very close. She was quite an organized and sentimental woman and she kept things from her whole life including all the cards people gave her, and all the letters we wrote to her as kids when we lived far apart. I took one of the envelopes from this pile and used it for my layout. I ripped it in half and placed it at the bottom of my layout under the birdcage. I left the side open so I can add journaling in it.

I used the sketch Nadia provided for the Ces't Magnifique challenge . These papers are exquisit Finnabair did such a good job on these papers, they are absolutely fantastic.

I loosely covered the envelope in gesso. I added molding paste to the birdcage and then inked it with Tattered angel's spray. Finally I used a Studio Multi-medium to paste flowers on the paper and add dimension. Then I added all the other elements.

Thank you for visiting my blog

This just brought tears to my eyes. You are so blessed to have those memories and momentos of your grandmother. I had a grandma who I was very close too and when she passed it was a very hard time for me. This layout is so beautiful. It's so nice to incorporate a little something of hers into it. Gorgeous details, lovely design..you can tell a little piece of your heart went into this one.
