I have great news!!!!. I've stepped out of the box and bought a sewing machine which I've used for the first time on this layout!!!!
This is my September 15th DT reveal for Sketchabilities. It is Sketch # 55 and I love it!!!
I had lots of fun working with this sketch. Instead of using flowers and hearts I used gears and wheels to fit the theme. I used many different techniques here. First I sprayed the Dusty Attic chippies on the white cardstock with Tattered Angels Charcoal Chalk Mist. This gave me the background for the layout. Then I used ripped like scissors to cut around the edges of the white paper and then edged it in yellow chalk ink. I matted the whole layout on a grey cardstock.
I sew a border around the layout in a pattern that makes it look like tire tracks!! I thought this to be very clever because I made them look uneven to show my kid's bad driving skills, since she was just getting driving lessons for the first time by her older brother!!
Finally I dabbed some of the gears with yellow paint and used them along with the black ones and some Tim Holtz metal wheels as embellishments.

Besides using this Sketchabilities sketch, I challenged myself even further and I used the 123 September Challenge too. This month's challenge is to use these 3 things:
1. White
2. The word ON3. White Space
I really like these challenges because they are different and this time they worked perfectly with my Sketchabilities DT layout.
Thank you so much for visiting my blog
