Keren here on the Prima Blog with an inspirational canvas using the new Julie Nutting wooden dolls.
As soon as I got the dolls I knew I would want to create a whimsical canvas for my daughter's room. My daughter is a red head so I really wanted to paint the doll's hair orange and that's exactly what I did. She loved it so much we hung it in her room as soon as it was dry.
My daughter is a free spirited soul and this quote is truly perfect for her. She always brings love and magic wherever she goes.
I've created a step by step tutorial on how I created this canvas:
10. I glued the doll, a wooden dragonfly and an Antique Street Sign to the canvas.
11. Finally I added some texture to the edges of the canvas, lines on the grass and around the words, and some gesso on the embellishments to tie it all in.
