Inspirational OTP Butterfly- Prima's Free Spirit collection

Today I'm featuring The Free Spirit Collection on the Prima blog.
I created this project for CHA. Its a Mixed Media butterfly OTP using a wooden butterfly from the Dollar Store.

This collection really spoke to me for many different reasons. I really loved the colors. The beautiful blues and greens in this collection were perfect as they are my some of my favourite colors to use on my projects.

To create the background I covered butterfly with papers from the Free Spirit collection and then masked over the whole surface using the new flower stencil from Prima and light molding paste. Then I sprayed ink all over the background using matching colors. Once dry, I stamped randomly all over the background using the music notes stamp from the Free Spirit collection.

Finally, I chose an inspirational quote and I framed it in one of the new Ingvild Bolme resin frames. Then I embellished with lots of beautiful Prima flowers and vines.

I just love this! I hope you don't mind if I lift your idea, I have a present to make for a 10 year old's birthday and her mom said no presents... but I thought I would make a Home decor piece and I happen to have a wooden butterfly in my alterable pile so that's it! not sure mine will end up quite that pretty but I can try. (very sad you are not teaching at Scrapfest...)
