I made this layout very grungy with a sketch from Creative Scrappers. I haven't had much time to scrap in the past few days because my daughter has been running a high fever since Friday night. It is so hard to see your child not feeling well, I'm sure many of you will sympathise. You feel worried, scared and anxious because you want it to pass. We got her checked at the doctor's office and it looks like its just a virus but it still sucks to see this energetic little girl so tired and limp. Please pray she gets better very soon.
Here is the layout I managed to put the finishing touches on because it was already half way done!!
I actually made my own gears by applying gesso over a gear mask and after it dried I sprayed it with butterscotch Adirondack ink.
Materials Used
Simple stories paper, gear mask and metal gears by Tim Holtz, Gesso, Adirondack spray butterscotch, burlap and twine

Oooh, love the grunge- amazing texture- you are so good at that! Great work :)~
This is superb Keren! I love all the textures and distressing and the gears look fabulous.. and I hope your dear Daughter is on the mend.. some virus's are pretty nasty and can knock them for six...and yes it is hard to see them feeling so ill and not themselves.. take care..
Clever! [those 'gears', I mean!]...hope your DD is better. Often those things come & go quickly - it's a concern when they don't....I'm sure she'll be her cheerful self soon:):)
