Beautiful Girl- New Design Team

I'm very happy to announce that I've been asked to be part of the Scrap for Help Design Team. I was very happy when Cynthia messaged me to ask me to join. I love this blog and what it stands for and I'm honoured that they have asked me to join. If you don't know much about this blog please check it out here. SFH challenges involve using recycled materials. This month's challenge was to use Gauze or Muslin on your layout or project. I decided to use gauze as a layer for my layout. I used it as a background under my daughter's photo. I love the soft look it gives it. I opened up and cut the gauze roughly to eliminate the straight edges. I also opened up the threads a bit too.
I used Authentique papers which I cut out and layered under the photo. I also used a large Prima bouquet and two Dusty Attic flourishes which I inked in black and covered with glaze. Finally I sewed around the edges of my papers in a zig-zag pattern.
The colours of my design are from The Color Room Palette #95. Their sponsor this month is Meg's Garden which has an amazing paper line. I've already ordered some amazing papers from her but they are in transit so I resorted to use a different line of paper this time to match the colors of the palette.

Thank you for visiting my blog
