The off the page project in the September Flying Unicorn Kit is fabulous. Its a paper mache dress-form and I had a blast creating a mixed media dress for it.
I started draping pieces of cheese cloth on the dress-form and gluing them with matte gel medium. I kept on adding layers until I was satisfied with the thickness and composition of the dress.
Once the gel dried, I painted the dress using two different shades of turquoise golden paint. I also added some gold colour in some areas
Once the paint dried, I used the gel medium to create a glittery texture on the bottom part of the dress.
Finally I stamped a pattern on the top part of the dress and added some Flying Unicorn metal embellishments to decorate the dress. I even added a little butterfly necklace.
