One of the items in the C'est Magnifique's June kit was this wooden Icon Box from Prima. I really wanted to create a project with it, so I emptied it out and used it as a printer's tray.
First I primed it with Gesso. Then painted it in shimmery green acrylic paint which matched the Maja papers perfectly. I cut out a picture of each of my kids and popped it in one of the squares. I also used the green toned Maja papers to fill the other squares in the grid.
Then, I decorated it with flowers, resist canvas embellishments and wooden mushrooms. Finally,I used the Shabby Chic Mirror in the center to add a title.
