As February's GD at Prima I made a few projects for their blog. This is the first one in more detail. I will upload the other ones in the next few days.
Well I did take a lot of pictures of my kids at the beach and I love scrapping them. I designed this layout right after we came back from vacation so the ocean breeze was still imprinted in my mind.
I have a new technique I've been experimenting with lately. I start by adding pieces of old chipboard onto a page and then I stencil them with the same shape using some paste and mists.
Here I used some old Technique Tuesday diamond shapes and then stenciled diamonds on the chipboard.
I used some Shimmerz sprays to match the diamond's color to the background.
I find this technique adds lots of depth, volume and layering to a layout and I've repeated this process over and over again in the past few weeks. You've seen me using hexagons, circles and squared frames. In the next few days I will use squares and flowers too.
I love adding ripped pieces of cheese cloth underneath embellishments. It creates softness and depth. I also loved adding shells onto this layout!!

ReplyDeleteVery, very ... GORGEOUS Keren, wow!!
ReplyDeletefabulous work, congrats :)
ReplyDeleteWonderful! This page is a huge favourite!! The pale colour scheme is really appealling and your chippie work is fab. I've seen a lot of chippie work about this year, more than ever before it seems, where it's painted 'self' to match the background rather than as a contrasting element, and I keep meaning to try it. I really do have 3 drawers full of chipboard and a lot of it is old and 'weird' LOL but I could give it new life as you have done to such great effect!!
