Sweet Moments- Scraps of Elegance October Kit Reveal Part 2

Here is my second layout for the Scraps of Elegance October kit "Rue de Rosiers." This time I'm featuring the beautiful papers from the "Postcards from Paris" collection from Websters Pages.

When I created this page, I focused mainly on the pink hues of the kit. I fussy cut lots of elements from the Websters Pages papers and added them to my page.

I framed my photo in two of the Maggie Holmes canvas frames and added a couple of their resins.

to soften the pattern of the background paper, I spread some gesso on it. Then I sprayed it with Shimmerz: Razzle dazzle berry. Finally I masked the script image from the 6x6 Crafters Workshop stencil using light molding paste.

Materials:
Papers and stickers: Websters pages
Flowers: Prima
Resin flowers: Maggie Holmes
Canvas frames: Maggie holmes

The winners will be invited to join us in one of our challenges as Guest Designers. Additionally we will feature few works with biggest number of points.

I got inspired from the blue butterfly in the mood board and created an 11x14 canvas. You can see the different angles below as I hang it on my wall.

I created this blue butterfly using lots of 13 Arts mediums and textures. Then I used 13 Arts sprays: Pearl Sky blue and chalkTurquoise to colour in the butterfly and the edges. I used a sponge to create the edge effect on the sides and then stamped lots of images using black archival ink.

I also used some Kaisercraft rub-ons and added many inspirational words on the background. The black punchinella pattern is actual plastic punchinella which I cut and adhere to the canvas using 13 Arts gel Medium.

The circles were created using 13 Arts gesso (which I diluted in water) and Pearl black spray. I used different sized lids to create them.

I used a toothbrush to create the splattered dots on the canvas. I diluted the ink and then dipped my brush.

To highlight the lines on the butterfly I used a black pencil I bought recently that basically writes on everything even metal.

Hello there Scrap Around The World fans!

The SATW blog has some extra inspiration to share with you from one of our sponsors this month: 2 Crafty Chipboard, who are Guest Designing for us!!

Since I'm on both Design Teams, I decided to create another layout this month inspired by the sketch and the October Mood board.

This is our current Mood Board & optional  sketch.

These are the 2 Crafty Chipboard pieces I used:
Today-Loopy Font: I primed it in gesso and inked it in teal chalk ink.
Chevron Bits: I covered them in 9th Wave paper
Frame2-Etched; I primed it in gesso and then painted it in teal Shimmerz paint and then dabbed it in Teal me no Lies Texturez

Mechanical Cuff Bracelet- Prima

Here is a metal cuff bracelet I created using Finn's lines for the Prima blog

I sat myself down with all the beautiful Finnabair mechanicals and vintage trinkets in front of me. Suddenly I saw the beautiful metal flourishes and and idea came to me. What if I could bend the metal and create a cuff bracelet with them. I decided to try it. I added flowers through the holes using brads and I connected the swirls together using Vintage trinket loops. Finally I added a clasp at the end.

I have a pretty small wrist so I only needed to use two metal flourishes. However for a larger wrist, I could have attached another flourish in between.

Prima Products
961046- Finnabair Mechanichals
961169- Finnabair Mechanicals star brads
960377- Finnabair Sunrise Sunset Vintage Trinkets
960322- Finnabair Vintage Trinkets
960339- Finnabair Vintage Trinkets

other: copper brads and a clasp
