I created this layout below, inspired by the SATW mood board.

Isn't it beautiful?

I was inspired by the sunset picture in the mood board and I used my own picture of a sunset of a recent trip. I used orange and yellow flowers similarly to the other picture in the mood board

I used the 7 Dots Studio Thoughts Keeper collection as a background. I also used different Blue Fern Studios chipboard pieces: Splattered Circles, Bird on a wire and Natural Beauty title.

Guarding the nest- Flying Unicorn July KOTM OTP

This month's OTP from the Flying Unicorn July Kit is a wooden wicker star.
I had so much fun embellishing it!!

The focus of my project were these two lovebirds perched on their nest. They are sitting right above it guarding it.

I embellished around the birds with burlap flowers, pussywillows and earthy vines.

The birds were painted in gold acrylic paint and then sprayed with Color Bloom antique gold spray.

ATC Cards- using 7 Dots Studios Soulmates Collection for Artists Live Ustream Channel

I'm up on the 7 Dots Studio Blog and I wanted to showcase these Artist Trading Cards I created on my live Ustream show on the Artists Live Channel

If you don't want to miss any of our shows, subscribe to our Facebook Page
and if you can't make it. We upload our videos to our Youtube Channel

I used different colours to design the cards on the show but the techniques are the same

Here is the recording of the show in case you missed it:

Here are the ATC's I created on the show.
I used the 7 Dots Studio Soulmates collection and lots of mixed media products for both of them. Just the colours are different.

This was my first time creating these type of cards and I had so much fun doing it. At first I thought how could I create on such a small space? as the cards are 2 1/2 by 3 1/2. However even though the small space was challenging, I found it easy to create a different piece of art on each one.

I also thought these would be perfect to send to a friend as a keepsake.
I actually raffled them all away during my show and sent them to friends all around the globe.

Darling- First Post for Scrapberry's

Its my first post on the Scrapberry's blog and I'm just so happy to be here.
Below is a layout I created using the new Antique Shop Collection.

I used the paper "The Depth of the Ocean" from this collection as i love the distress wood paper as a background.

As the weathered wood reminds me of the ocean, I created an ocean-like layout using a palm tree stencil. Since I hadn't received all my amazing Scrapberrys products in the mail yet, I had to use many different embellishments to compliment the page.

I tried to create texture in the background with modelling paste, stamping and sprays.

Products
Papers: Scrapberry's Antique Shop
Blue Fern studios chipboard
Prima flowers and leaves
Stencil Prima and Scrap Fx
Prima Color Bloom spray: cobalt blue, antique gold, empress gold
Prima Finnabair stamp
Prima Finnabair art basics light modelling paste
Micron brown pen
Tim holtz distress ink pad: gathered twigs
Sisal texture
