Dream Canvas- Artists Live Ustream show

Here is the second project I created for the Artists Live Ustream Channel.

It is a 9x12 Mixed Media Canvas using many different techniques.

I used the thread word "Dream" designed by Jamie Dougherty for Prima Marketing Flowers.

During the show, I created a similar canvas but I used the word Happy instead of Dream.

The second canvas was also smaller (8x10) and I added some grey in the background which I didn't do in the first one.

Treasure the moment- Flying Unicorn June Kit of the Month

Here is another share for the Flying Unicorn June kit using the 13 Arts Starlight collection.

I recently took a bunch of pictures of my daughter feeding the pigeons on the street and somehow I printed so many of them that I've been using them in many layouts.

You will be seeing lots of Pigeon feeding photos in the next little while lol. Just saying!!

The colour of the hearts in the background paper were a perfect match to my photo and then I used sprays and flowers to tie it all together.

Little pieces of the BoBunny chipboard were added around the photo. But the title chipboard in the title is from 13 Arts. Both of these are part of the kit.

Be You, Be Awesome- Flying Unicorn June Kit of the month

Here is another creation for the June Flying Unicorn Kit.

It features the Starlight Collection from 13 Arts.

I really love the colours in this collection, particularly  this paper with corals and orange which I had to enhance with sprays and mists.

I got inspired but the chipboard flowers from BoBunny that came in the kit and I decided to mimic them with a Prima stencil from Jamie Dougherty. This stencil is not part of the kit.

The anemone flower stencil from Jamie Dougherty was masked with Shimmerz brick wall Texturez. This stencil and paste are not in the kit.

The doily stamp in the background comes in the kit and its from BoBunny. I thought it added a nice touch to the background.

XOXO- Blue Fern Studios June sketch challenge

Half a year has now passed  and I truly can't believe it!!

I'm up on the Blue Fern Studios blog again and I've created a layout for the monthly sketch.

Below is the monthly sketch and I hope you get a chance to play with us this month.

I used the new Deja Vu collection for the background along with the Deja Vu clear stamp to create some texture.

I framed the photo of my daughter feeding the birds with the Majestic chipboard frame which I embossed in cream embossing powder. 

I also used a piece of the Romantic page dangles at the bottom of the frame to extend the look downwards.

Feel Uplifted- Flying Unicorn June Kit of the Month

This is one of my shares for Flying Unicorn's June Kit of the month featuring 13 Arts Starlight collection.

For this layout, I used the Orion paper which has stars in the background. Then I used the star stencil from the collection to enhance the pattern and texture.

I used a photo of my daughter throwing confetti up in the air. It just happens to be that the confetti matches the colours of the stars. I tried to create an upward movement in the page to mimic the confetti.
