Good Vibes- Blue Fern Studios Part 1

This is my first layout for the Blue Fern Studios Blog this month and have and all around theme this month which is "Circles". I have used different circular designs this month to create each of my layouts. I hope they inspire you to create with circles and love them just as much as I do!!!

I will be posting my second layout in a couple days so stay tuned!!

I just love using circular designs on my layouts and I tried to incorporate different circle motifs in each of these layouts. I also used stencils and stamps to create different textured circles in the background.

I framed this cute photo of my daughter picking strawberries in the field with the treasured floral chipboard frame. I primed it with gesso and then colored it with markers.

Then I added circles from the Circle Group set which were coloured in yellow marker. finally I added the Good Vibes title on the side because she's truly just so happy here!!

The background paper is from the Ombré Dreams collection- Leslie's Dream and I matched all the flowers and embellishments to it.

Lovely Day- Shadow Box Canvas- Prima's Cigar Box Secrets Collection

The New Cigar Box Secrets collection from Prima is just gorgeous and I have a project today on the Prima blog that showcases its beautiful patterns and colours.

I used an 8x10 canvas and inverted it to use as a Shadow box to frame this favourite photo of my kids. I feel it matched the colours of the Cigar Box Secrets collection perfectly.

Then I painted the inside of the box with new golden brown chalkboard paint.

I covered the edges and the inside of the box with papers and flowers from the Cigar Box Secrets collection

I also used one of the new doilies die cuts to create more layers under the flowers. Finally I added some jute trim on top of the box for decoration.

Memories Captured- 7 Dots Studio Layout and Video

Its my turn today on the 7 Dots Studio Blog and I have a loaded Mixed Media layout for you today with a step by step video below.

Here is the video so I won't go into too much explanatory details:

I scrapbooked a picture of my son climbing up a big tree. I wanted to create a nature themed layout to transport people right into the picture. I used the "What wood u say" paper from the Messy Head collection for the background because it looks like wood grain. Then I used flowers, burlap and lots of textured pastes and stamps to create the background behind the photo.

I created a step by step video on how I made this layout.

Love Canvas- Flying Unicorn Your Passion Your Art July Kit

So for my final project this month with the Flying Unicorn Kit I created a canvas using some of the products from the Mixed Art add-on of the July Kit.

I used one of the 13 Arts Fly Away papers as the background and I glued it to the canvas using Liquitex matte gel medium.

Then I created texture by stencilling and stamping at the edges of the canvas.

I also painted a blue heart using some Silks glazes and Farber Castell water-colour pencils. I used the same colours to create a border around the canvas.

I embellished the heart with lots of different types of Prima products such as flowers, resin words and icons, an Ingvild Bolme resin frame, wood icons, an IB faucet and light bulb metal junkyard findings and some crystals.
