Love is a Family- GD for Inkido

I'm guest designing again for Inkido and I created this layout  below.

I designed this soft pinkish layout using a family photo. I used many shabby chic elements to decorate the layout to match up to the shabbiness of the Inkido papers. However I couldn't design this layout without adding a touch of mixed media mediums and techniques.

I used 2 different chipboard pieces here which I cut to fit in between my embellishments. I used the Music Notes and Shrub set 2 which I primed in gesso and then covered in glass bead gel for texture.

Inkido Products:
Beautiful Memories: Pink Memories
Is this Love?-- Hope
Cartas de Amor- Royal Red

Other Products:
Liquitex Heavy Gesso
Branch stamp: Hero arts
Chipboard vines and music notes: 2 Crafty
Golden Glass Bead Gel
Flowers: Inkido, Recollections, Green Tara, Maya Road, IAMROSES
Golden white gesso

Wooden icon butterflies: Prima
pearls: Queen & Co.
Ranger black archival ink

Live in Happiness- Shimmerz Blog Layout

"Live in Happiness"

This is the message I want to pass on to my kids. It is what I feel when I scrapbook and when I use Shimmerz and Prima flowers.  It is total bliss and I hope my kids find something like this when they grow up. Something that makes them this happy. I hope that their happiness remains from childhood, the way it is in this photo. My daughter is jumping and splashing in the puddles after a heavy rainstorm. She's so free here, the way it should be!!!
I journaled about this feeling on both sides of the page.

I used Dazzlers colors to create my chevron background. The small chevron was masked with Sour Apple and the large chevron pattern was masked with Gummy Berry Blue.

Then using the lid of the Dazzlers container and the lid of a Shimmerz spray container, I stamped circles on the page, using the same two Dazzlerz colors. I used a paint brush to paint the rim of the lid and then used it as a stamp on the page.

I sprayed the white Prima flowers with Lime in da Coconut Coloringz and also sprinkled it on the page using the dropper inside. I also dripped some Sea Foam Shimmerz spray on the page.
Finally I sprinkled some Before Dawn spray and made some dimensional dots using the new Witchy Poo Dimensionz paint. I also used the Before Dawn spray to cover the wooden title in black.

You can get all the products I used today HERE at the Shimmerz Shop. They have a variety of colors and a special deal right now if you want to purchase some of the new Dimensionz products. and... just to make the deal even sweeter, if you mention my name during checkout at the "instruction to merchant" box, you will receive a sample of either a Dazzler or Texturez of your choice. You can even purchase one of the ones I used right here.

Thank you so much for visiting me today.

Wonderful Journey- November Prima's BAP

Its that time of the month to play along with the Prima BAP and this month the sketch is fabulous!! I had so much fun creating with it as I hadn't had the chance to play in a while. I hope you come and join us this month, too.

I turned the sketch 90 degrees because I wanted to create flow down the side of the page, using some mists.

I framed a picture of my daughter at the beach using one of the Prima resin frames. It is one from a series of favorite photos I took during our December trip to Florida last year. It is sadly my last one and we are not going this year again, so I won't have as many beach pictures to scrap in January as I did last year. I might have to dig out some pictures from old trips as I love creating beach sceneries in my pages.

I just love combining turquoise and teal colours as they are my favorite. I also used one of my favorite masks again to create ocean waves in the background."

Random Prize - This amazing Prize Pack from Bo Bunny!!!

The story of BoBunny Press began with a young girl named Jan Lanoy.
She was raised in the Ozark area of Arkansas, then headed west to study art in college.
In 1974, she married Don & packed away her paint box while she raised three sons.

As the family moved from Arkansas to Texas to Taiwan & then to Utah,
Jan satisfied her creative side by restoring houses.
Her children claim she can do anything with a drill & hammer!

That old paint box wasn't reopened until 1996 when, at the urging of her sister,
Jan started designing scrapbook papers. She still vividly remember standing
outside a local craft store in Layton, Utah, terrified to show off her first 2 designs.

Now, 16 years later, BoBunny Press is an industry leader with its innovative paper
& embellishment lines. Starting with 2 designs in a single store, BoBunny products
can now be found in over 39 countries around the world.

Long a favorite of card makers and scrapbookers, BoBunny papers, stickers,
albums, brads, buttons, trinkets, jewels, ribbons, stamps & kits are always
hot topics on consumer message boards.

Each item still carries Jan's personal attention to detail and colour, but she's no

longer doing it all on her own. Her team of graphic designers, each with different styles
& expertise, help to create the variety of product lines that BoBunny is known for.
Whether your taste is whimsical, elegant, classic or playful, there's something
 for everyone with BoBunny.

The deadline for this challenge is Saturday 30th November 2013.

Have a wonderful day!!
