Nature- Ces't Magnifique March Reveal Part 3

Hi Everyone, here is my final reveal for the Ces't Magnifique kit for March.
I loved working with the Magenta papers they are just so magical and I tried to create this feeling in my layouts.

This photo was taken at the Flamingo Gardens in florida. I tried to make the layout look like a garden adding lots of greens and flowers.

I fussy cut some white flourishes from the Magenta paper to give the layout some movement!!

I love that bird with the long orange beak. It reminds me of one of the birds we saw at this park.

Kiss- Ces't Magnifique March Kit Part 2

Here is another layout designed with the March Kit from Ces't Magnifique, featuring beautiful papers from Magenta
I made this layout using the orange tones in this collection!! I complimented the orange with some pink and green!!
I know I've used this picture quite a few times in my scrapbooking pages however its one of my favorites. It was taken at the butterfly conservatory in Niagara Falls. My daughter held a beautiful butterfly in her hand and it looks as if she's kissing it. I thought it would be the perfect picture for the butterfly papers that came in the kit.

I loved the butterfly papers as soon as I saw them as I love butterflies. I used butterflies everywhere: a large Cherry Lynn die cut butterfly and a Martha Stewart Border Punch

I loved using those Maya Road orange rosettes that came in the kit.I matched them with the orange burlap trim by matting the photo with it.

To blend in the polka dot background, I used a dot stencil with some Martha Stewart paste. Then I cut lots of butterflies from the paper and used it around the LO.

Noteworthy- Ces't Magnifique March Kit Reveal Part 1

Here is a picture of my kids at Peggy's Cove in Nova Scotia, Canada. Of course I asked them to look out in to the ocean so I could take this picture of them on the rocks.

Now for our reveal of Ces't Magnifique March Kit

It's always an exciting day when we reveal our upcoming kits! Our March Kit, which we have named "Whimsical Melodies", includes paper from a couple of different lines from Magenta. We have paired this colorful paper with just the right embellishments.

At this time the kit is sold out, but if you would like to be on a wait list (in case Leslie is able to put together a few more kits) please send her an email at: leslie{at}cestmagnifiquekits.com.

Here are some close-ups of my layout

I used the Blue Fern Garden Window to frame the picture. I cut out the inside pannels and used them as decorations. The shutters were used on a different layout. This is one way to get the most our of your chipboard pieces.

I used the purple tones in the kit however since I didn't have any purple flowers, I sprayed the pink flowers with the Amethyst Color shine spray from the February Kit.

The Magenta purple paper had stripes again so I decided to roll the edges. I truly love this effect whenever there's stripes on a page!

You can still get a hold of some of the papers and embellishments from this kit at the Ces't Magnfique Store:

Don't forget, you still have a couple of days remaining in February to enter our Sketch Challenge.

"LOVE: My Heart Belongs to you"- 2 Crafty reveal part 2

Here is my second 2 Crafty and 13 Arts  reveal this month and I loved using all the heart shaped chipboard pieces for this layout.

I also truly loved working on this layout. The 13 Arts papers are fabulous for building layers and textures and they were perfect for the them of love. If you can get your hands on some of these papers you should. You will love them!!!

I used the Corner Heart Spray which I cut into smaller pieces. I covered it in thick gesso and stamped it with a rough patterned stamp. Then I sprayed it in bright pink Shimmerz.

Corner Heart Spray (unit of 3)

I used this layout for the challenge at Zeus & Zoe:.
The challenge is to create a project about LOVE.................

That gives you lots of different options and interpretations to choose from.
The only stipulation is that the WORD "LOVE" must be obvious on your project.
It could be Valentine themed or marriage, children, home, animals, food, music, sports,, shoes, chocolate. Whatever your heart tells you to express that is all about LOVE.
Well this is the best layout to use for this challenge!!

I also used this layout for a challenge over at Scrap Africa. The challenge was to use Hearts as a main focus on your layout and this layouts is exactly that!!

I framed the picture with the Frame Love Hearts I simply covered it in gesso and then used yellow spray as paint.

Frame Love Hearts (unit of 3)

Finally I used the Love title with the same technique as the frame.

Love-Script (units of 3)

Flowers: Manor House Creations, Prima, Recollections, 13 Arts
Chipboard: 2 Crafty

Key to my Heart- My 2 Crafty February Creations Part 1

Here is my first layout for my 2 Crafty reveal this month. I wanted to show it to you in a little bit more detail.
I also used this layout for my reveal at 13 Arts. I loved using these 13 Arts papers. I especially love this wood grain background paper.

As its the month of February I thought it would be appropriate to make my layouts related to the theme of love. The first layout is about the 3 people that hold the Key to my Heart. My husband and kids light up my life and make each and every day brighter!! This is a layout dedicated to them!!

First I used the Edith's Frame. I covered the frame with thin strips from the background paper. Then I covered it with crackle gel and edged it in black. It looks as if the frame is made out of wood.

Frame Edith's (unit of 3)

To make this effect, I dripped some gesso thickly under the picture and then painted it with 2 shades of Pink Shimmerz. I also rolled the edges of the paper to make it look like rolled bark from a tree. I love this effect on the paper it almost looks real. Then I glued some Design Elements swirls around the framed paper.

Design Elements (unit of 3)

I dripped some white Calico mist under the title and tinted it with Shimmerz. The Key to my heart title was painted in Gesso and then tinted it in pink again.

Flowers: Green Tara, 13 Arts

So Happy Together- GD for CSI Case File #60 alont with 2 Crafty

This is the last layout for our GD at CSI this month sponsored by 2 Crafty.

Here is the Palette for CSI #60

and The Coordinates, which I used on this layout

How I solved the Case:

I used all 5 colors including some from the Coordinates.
For the EVIDENCE I used: a big flower, heats, birds, layers, drips, and a solid white background
For the TESTIMONY I journaled on a tag about love and used the word love on the page

I used a 2 Crafty Chipboard title "Together" from the summertime chipboard pack. However I was very proud of my amazing find at our local restaurant on Valentine's day. Do you see these coasters below. Well can you spot them on the page. I altered these amazing coasters that I grabbed from the bar at the restaurant. How cool are they. I simply covered them in Gesso and then with a marble mask, covered them in gesso again. Finally I sprayed them in Shimmerz: My Bleeding Heart to make them red.

Footprints- Ces't Magnifique March Kit

I'm so excited to introduce my second layout from the March Kit at C'est Magnifique.

I made this layout with the blue toned papers in the kit.

As soon as I saw the striped paper, I knew I wanted to curl the pieces at the bottom. Then using some cardboard and gesso I gave it this rustic look.

I loved watching my kids run free at the beach this winter while on vacation. Both my husband and I are beach lovers and we were happy to see our kids enjoying the beach as much as we do. They loved chasing the seagulls, running at the edge of the water and doing cartwheels in the sand. Those precious moments always stay in my mind.

I used the shutters from the Blue Fern Window to make it look as if the beach was being watched from a window.

Things I love: You- Prima GD reveal part #3

My third and final reveal at Prima is a layout about my husband and a thank you card I made for a very special friend although I haven't sent it yet as I don't know her address lol

I made a layout about my husband who is often not the subject of my layouts. I wanted to use romantic colors to express my love for him and I thought the Romance Novel Collection would be perfect for this theme. This was the perfect month to make a romantic layout as February is the month of Love in North America.

I used the chipboard layered technique again in this layout. Using some old chipboard squares I glued them on the background page and then added paste using a mask. Finally I misted it with Shimmerz all over the page by spraying and painting all around.

you will also notice on this layout how amazing it looks when you add some soft cheese cloth threads around the flowers and embellishments. I  also added gesso around the embellishment's edges to soften their look.

Finally, I designed a Thank You card this month using the Firefly collection.
I think saying thanks to people, though a card, an email or in person is one of the most important things a person should do. There are so many unappreciated people in the world and I know that if at least one person would approach them and thank them, their whole life could change.
So having said that:
I want to take this moment to thank G-d, my family and friends for everything you have given me throughout my life!! thank you from the bottom of my heart!!
