This is my DT reveal for Bird is the Word. The word today is JOURNEY. People always associate journey with travel but I always associate journey with life. So I designed a page about my son and wrote about my wishes for his journey in life.
I used 2 of BoBunny's winter collections. However I didn't want to make the layout about winter so I used the papers in a way that I could avoid all the snowflakes. The sketch I used was from Swirlydoos January Swirlyhues Challenge. The colour template was using blue, white and brown. One part of the challenge is that you must use one of the tutorials from the DT at Swirlydoos. I used the Lydia's Deep Distressing tutorial shown here. I even used the same orange Fiskar scissors that she used to make the distress marks on the edges of the page. I used a large Dusty Attic flourish and some Prima flowers as embellishments.
