Grow- 13 Arts Layout

For this layout, I used a white card stock for the background combined with different sized pieces of the "Faces of Spring" Collection from 13 Arts

I really enjoyed decorating the chipboard pieces on this layout.  I love creating magical gardens around my photos and this is what I did for this layout of my daughter walking in the tall marsh.

All the 2 Crafty chipboard pieces like the Ornate Screen above, were treated the same way using different 13 Arts Mediums. First they were Primed in 13 Arts Gesso. Then they were sprayed in a mixture of 13 Arts Sprays: Pearl Yellow and Pearl Olive green. 

Once the ink was dry, I applied 13 Arts Gel medium to the edges of the Thistle Shrub and the dandelions . Then I threw some 13 Arts Glass Filler Micro Glass beads on top of the gel medium and let it dry.

I really love how the shrubs came out. The micro-beads gave the shrubs a 3D look.

This gorgeous 13 Arts large white flower was used to anchor my layout. Then I used lots of other flowers to embellish around the photo.

You Are my Home- CSI #85 with 2 Crafty and 13 Arts.

This layout was created for CSI #85 using 13 Arts Mediums and 2 Crafty Chipboard.

These go so perfectly together because I love altering chipboard and the 13 Arts products are perfect for this.

This is how I solved the case:

I used the 13 Arts paints to match the color palette to the case file:

For the evidence: I used a label which I died in string and I also used a frame

For the testimony: I journaled on a tag and hid it behind the photo

I used lots of 13 Arts Mixed Media to create this layout. I framed the photo in the Zany Frame which I painted in 13 Arts yellow paint and then stamped with brown archival ink from Ranger.

To create the flourish garden on top, I used one Angie's Vine for the centre, which I painted in 13 Arts Turquoise paint  and two Flourish Adornments from Set 5 which I painted in 13 Arts Salmon paint.

These two beautiful flowers below are also 13 Arts and I sprayed them in 13 Arts Pearl Orange spray and Yellow Chalk spray.

Happiness is- Scraps of Elegance September Kit Reveal Part

Today I'm revealing my first layout for the August Scraps of Elegance kit featuring paper collections from Fab Scraps, Authentique and Kaisercraft. It's a beautiful kit featuring soft pastel colors in both pink and aqua.

To create the background I spread some Liquitex heavy gesso across the page and then used some FW pearlescence paint to create wisps behind the photo composition.

I used beautiful matching Prima flowers. I also used the Butterflies from the kit: both the paper butterfly and the Kaisercraft rub-ons from the pack.

Love you forever- Guest Designer at Scrap & Music

I'm Guest Designing this Month for a fairly new and really fun challenge site called Scrap & Music. Here is the layout I made for this challenge. The rules are below.

I used the C'est Magnifique July Kit for this layout featuring papers from Kaisercraft: On this day!! and flowers from the Lyric collection.

I wrote part of the lyrics along the side of my vertical lines. I love this part of the song because that's how I feel about my kids.

I used lots of die cuts from the same Kaisercraft collection to embellish around the photo.
