Thank You Tag- Julie Nutting Wood Doll- Flying Unicorn June Kit

This month's Flying Unicorn Kit's add on came with one of the beautiful Julie Nutting Wooden dolls.

I created a tag using the Small Art Big Passion Kit which is an add-on to the Main Kit.

The doll was painted using Molotow Acrylic paint markers. The fine tip helped me to precisely apply the paint on the doll without worrying about stepping out of the lines.

Of course I use some Prima Princess flowers to compliment the colors of the tag.

Inspirational Canvas- Julie Nutting Collection by Prima

Keren here on the Prima Blog with an inspirational canvas using the new Julie Nutting wooden dolls.
As soon as I got the dolls I knew I would want to create a whimsical canvas for my daughter's room. My daughter is a red head so I really wanted to paint the doll's hair orange and that's exactly what I did. She loved it so much we hung it in her room as soon as it was dry.
My daughter is a free spirited soul and this quote is truly perfect for her. She always brings love and magic wherever she goes.

I've created a step by step tutorial on how I created this canvas:

10. I glued the doll, a wooden dragonfly and an Antique Street Sign to the canvas.

11. Finally I added some texture to the edges of the canvas, lines on the grass and around the words, and some gesso on the embellishments to tie it all in.

Memories- New Shimmerz Product Inklingz and a sad Goodbye

I'm so excited to introduce these amazing new products by Shimmerz called Inklingz

They are hard water-colour paints in a jar. They are so fabulous and shimmery and I loved combining them to create this pastel layout.

I also have some sad goodbyes to say today at Shimmerz as I've had to step down from the Design Team for unforeseen circumstances.

I loved being on the Shimmerz DT and working with these amazing products.
It was truly like being part of a family and I want to thank Stacey for the opportunity and for her kind heart.

These are the names of the Inklingz I used on this layout:

meet me @ sunset
beets me
sun kissed

Besides creating a magical, shimmery background with the Inklingz, I also used them to paint over the resin birds in the corners. It covers them perfectly

So come check them out at the Shimmerz store and get yourself some new Inklingz!!!

Shimmerz: Inklingz
Coordinations white card stock
Journaling tags: Prima's Bloom collection
Flowers and resins: Prima
Chipboard: Blue Fern Studios
Wire thread: Prima

hope you get a chance to try these!!

Happy- Blue Fern Studios DT

This is my second creation for Blue Fern Studios this month and I've used the Ombré Dreams collection again. It is such a gorgeous set and so versatile. I just love it so much and its perfect for my style.

This month my reveal is all about me, how I feel, my thoughts and memories of this time of my life as I'm approaching 40. I had to jot down some of my thoughts and feelings so I can one day remember them looking back. I guess this is what scrapbooking is all about. I always thought I should scrapbook for my kids so they can have these memories. However I actually think that I am scrapbooking for myself, so when I'm old and fray (LOL) I can look back and remember how I felt or how I looked. That is if I can find these layouts amidst the hundreds of boxes I will have by then.

I framed my photo in the new Wildflower chipboard frame. I painted in purple and turquoise to match the colours of the papers.

I used a few of the layering stems and the tweet friends branch to layer in between the Prima flowers. I also painted them in purple and turquoise.

Finally I used pieces of the graduated circles and the happy title from the optimist word set to finish the page.

Papers: Blue Fern Studios Ombré Dreams
Chipboard: Blue Fern Studios
Flowers: Prima
Ranger acrylic paint dabbers
Golden White gesso
Shimemrz: Princess, Bamboo Leaf
Doily: Martha Stewart
Micron Pen
dots: MME

Thank you so much for visiting my blog today!!
Have a wonderful day!!
