An Amazing Class

A couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure of attending a class by the very own Anna Dabrowska (better known as Finnabair) and let me tell you it was phenomenal. She is truly inspirational and innovative. There was so much momentum and creativity in the room it was sensational.

I've been wanting to post some pictures from the event but the end of July was just so busy I couldn't find the time. I finally found an empty slot to show you the fabulous journal cover I made.

I loved getting grungy with the inks and stamps but I especially loved using all kinds of metal, wooden, plastic, chipboard and glass trinckets. I learned that you must keep all your junk, broken jewelry and paperclips. Everything is a treasure that can be incorporated into your work, even scrap pieces of paper. You know the ones we throw out!!

I hope you get a chance, if you haven't already, to enjoy one of her classes!!

Oh wow Karen! This is phenomenal! I see so much of your passion in this piece of art. I know exactly how you felt on that fabulous day! I feel like we're kindred spirits now having shared a wonderful experience with the scrapping rock star Anna! It's only been a week since I met her and made my journal and I'm still reeling from the experience. I hope everyone gets to share the same experience we did.

Amazing!! So beautiful!!! Luckily I have a shoebox full of old junk jewellery that I just kept in my scrap cupboard and add to it whenever something breaks and can't be fixed. Don't know what to do with it though!!!
