May> 2nd Anniversary Kit

May> Embellishment Add-on

May> Paper Add-on

May> Flower Add-on

Here is what I created with this beautiful kit:

For the first LO I used the BAP sketch from PRIMA:

For this layout I made my own embellishments with the polymer clay. I'll make a tutorial later on this month to show you how to make these round flower embellishments.

I also made 2 cards and another layout that will be revealed later on in the month. I even had paper left over. So if you want to create many projects with one kit, this is the one to get!!

The ScrapThat! Design Team have outdone themselves with their creations this month so be sure and stop by our gallery and leave them some love!

I always find the end of the month such a crunch time. I have so much due and so many layouts and challenges I want to finish. So I had to post 2 today because tomorrow is the BIG SCRAP THAT KIT REVEAL FOR MAY.
So please come back tomorrow and join us in our BLOG HOP, its going to be a blast!!!

in the meantime here is a layout I made with these gorgeous MME papers for their sketch challenge. I tried to replicate the backround by cutting the hexagons in and out. Then I used a splattered template from Crafter's Workshop to decorate.

Remember this day

I made this layout for a combination of challenges.  I used the sketch challenge from Sassy Scrappers along with papers from The ScrapCake: My Private Happiness. The ScrapCake challenge was to use some of their free printable sheets they gave us on their blog. I downloaded My Private Happiness' elements and combined them with some of the papers to make this layout.
Finally I also used this layout for a challenge at C'est Magnifique. The challenge was to use frames on a project. I used this Kaisercraft wooden frame that came in the April Kit and surrounded the title with it.

When I look in your eyes I can listen to your soul

Here is my Bird is the word reveal for April 22nd. The word to use is LOOK/SEE. I used this amazing papers from MME because I loved the message at the bottom and it fit the theme perfectly especially the title. I also entered this LO for the MME April challenge and Frosted Designs at their blog. The challenge was to use hexagons which was not very difficult as their collection "Follow your heart" has plenty of them.
Here is what I created:

Some Cards

As the end of the school year approaches and Mother's day is just around the corner. I thought it would be wise to get my cards made in advance. I made 3 cards using the beautiful papers by Kaisercraft: Sweet Nothings and Bonjour.
I quite like how they turned out!!

The answer my friend is blowing in the wind

Wouldn't it be amazing if all our answers were written in the wind like the song says. I guess they probably are but wind is so hard to catch.
What I wrote above is part of the journaling in this layout about my daughter blowing on a dandelion and making a wish. This is one of my kid's favourite thing to do. who wouldn't want to make a wish and see the dandelion's seeds fly in the air.
I designed this layout for the challenge at Glitz Designs. April's challenge has a Spring theme. You can related it to sprin in any way you want.
I also used a sketch from Handmade By Suzanne's for an inspiration.

Layout Tutorial using SCRAP THAT Serendipity April Kit.

I made this tutorial for the Scrap That Serendipity Kit. Check it out on the Scrap That Blog

1. Take the green patterned paper and cut an 8 inch circle in the middle of the page. Save the paper for later. I didn't cut mine right in the middle and it was hard to centre the top paper.

2. Using a corner punch with a design (it can be any brand however I used Martha Stewart's here), punch the circle around it's  edge. Make sure you line up the top of the design with the edge of the circle (as shown) and the side corner with the corner from the previous punch.

3. Continue punching around the circle. Note: I didn't finish punching around because I knew I was going to cut off the edge. However if you want to make a beautiful doily for another layout, this punching method is a great way of doing it. I used it in my other layout for my Scrap That reveal

4. Using some chalk ink, edge the punched edges with a darker green color.

5. Now for the fussy cutting part: Take the butterfly patterned paper and cut out all the butterflies. Then set aside (I did this while watching T.V).

6. Take the paper with the chandelier and make a punched border around the paper using an "All Around the page punch" (again I used Martha Stewart's but you don't have to)

 7. Then mat this punched paper on the green leftover paper like this.

8. Place the circle in the top left corner of your paper and cut around the edges.

9. place the picture at the edge of the top left corner ( I downsized the picture)
10. Using the brown trim from one of the papers make a scalloped frame around the picture.
11. starting from the bottom right corner cluster  all butterflies in an upward motion (as if flying). Start with the large ones first from the bottom and make your way up with the smaller ones until you reach the photo.
Tip: Make sure you put glue only in the centre of the butterflie so the wings stick up when you place them on the paper.

12. Take the pearl string and place it around the butterflies in a back and forth motion. Then using glue dots hold the strands together in place.

13. Spread and glue the mini flowers in between the butterflies.

14. Print your title from the computer and cut it out in strips. Ink the edges and glue it on the page.
